Susan Kerr is the CEO of Advancing Inspiration, LLC, a solutions-based facilitation,
coaching, and consulting company focusing on mindfully advancing leadership, service,
strategy, accountability, growth, and bottom-line results.
Advancing Inspiration prides itself on designing and delivering customized programs
that advance strategy, leadership, and operational excellence through the creation of
simple, clear solutions. To-date, over 85% of Advancing Inspiration’s clientele have
returned for additional services.
Susan has also served in leadership positions (as employee and advisor) with the
following companies: The Advisory Board Company, General Electric, Disneyland,
NBC, 20th Century Fox, Sara Lee’s Coach Leatherware (NYC), L’Oreal, Timberland,
The Walt Disney Company, Boston Children’s Hospital, Lucile Packard Children’s
Hospital at Stanford, and numerous other institutions, associations, and non-profits
across the U.S. and abroad.
She also serves as visiting faculty at the School of Management and an affiliated fellow for
the Center for Leadership Studies where she conducts transformational leadership
academies and coaching sessions annually (Binghamton’s University, SUNY).
In addition, Susan spends time in her Old Town Alexandria studio painting, sculpting,
and writing. She has a current installation in Arlington, Virginia and additional paintings
hang in institutions and private collections across the country. She is also one of the
artists for A Room to Heal, a group creating healing environments for children affected
by life-threatening illness and economic hardships in Upstate New York. She is also a
board member for The Northern Virginia Fine Arts Association.
Susan travels regularly to Venice, Italy where she enjoys culture, art, and Venetian life.
She is currently doing some creativity consulting work in the Dosodoro section on the
grand canal.
She earned her MBA from the Marshall School of Business at The University of
Southern California in 1997 where she was co-president of the Graduate Women in
Business Association and also received a Dean’s Scholarship Award. Her undergraduate
degree is from California State University at Fullerton where she studied intercultural
and interpersonal communication and spent a year studying overseas.
